Metra New Lenox Station

New Lenox, IL

The New Lenox Station train station services commuters on Metra’s Southwest Service Line, with transportation to Chicago’s Union Station. The station was built in 2006 and remains one of the busiest passenger stations in the Southwest suburbs today. GAC provided construction of a new commuter train station, 400-car parking lot and access road, stormwater detention, new sanitary sewer, water, gas, and electric services for the new facility in a remote southern section (Laraway Road and Schoolhouse Road) of the quiet but growing community of New Lenox. In collaboration with Metra and the Village of New Lenox, GAC constructed a new train platform and access road off Laraway Road.
