Amtrak MACC - Greenwood, MS - Station Renovations
Greenwood, MS
Amtrak’s red brick depot, located in the Railroad Historic District of Greenwood, MS, was built in 1917 and listed on the National Historic Register in November 1985. The U.S. government distinguishes such sites as places worthy of preservation for their historical significance or artistic vision. The project included a new 750 linear-foot station platform, an ADA-compliant walkway, and renovations to the bathrooms and waiting area. GAC performed historical restorations on the platform canopy and existing window, which will ensure this architectural gem remains relevant for the foreseeable future.
