Amtrak MACC - Lawrence, KS - Station Renovations

Lawrence, KS

The mid-century modern depot in Lawrence was reconstructed in 1956 by the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway, which replaced the original design damaged in the flood of 1951. The station is listed on the Register of Kansas Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places for its historical and artistic significance. GAC’s contract included the evaluation of work previously done by another contractor and additional site improvements, including new ADA-compliant walkways and signage.
