BNSF ARGENTINE YARD LMIT - DSF Roof Top HVAC UNIT Relacement
Kansas City, KS
The project included removing and installing 11 RTU units, including structural supports and interior ductwork, new temperature sensors, a mini power zone for GFCO receptacle power, T-stats, and step-down transformers. The building was surrounded by tracks on four sides, making logistics difficult. GAC was responsible for getting the old units off the roof and installing the new units in the shortest time, with the least disruption to operations, so we disconnected each unit's electrical, gas, and roof curb connections ahead of time. We had a crane window of 4 hours for two days, and with careful planning, the project went off without a hitch, and GAC completed early.
