BNSF ARGENTINE YARD LMIT - Electrical Switch Gear

During our 3-year Transformer Switchgear replacement project, it was necessary to utilize a generator for temp power. Once DP-1000 was complete, we could use the first transformer as a temp power source to replace DP-2000 and DP-3000 transformers. This innovative solution saved BNSF 2 years of generator fuel and rental costs. Shutdowns were reduced from 8 hours to 1 hour, reducing power outages. We were also able to use this equipment in the next and final phase of the project. GAC refunded the client with proceeds from the project’s copper wiring that was scrapped and recycled.
