BNSF Corwith Yard DSF Service Track Expansion

The BNSF Corwith Yard DSF fueling platform replacement project is a three-year replacement of the existing fueling platform. At completion, the project will more than double the fueling, lube oil and sanding capabilities of the yard while adding the ability of the mechanical team to perform FRA inspections as well as other services with state-of-the-art equipment in one location. In addition to increased service capabilities, the new structure incorporates a three-tier waste capture system to ensure any industrial waste generated by this process is properly contained and disposed of. GAC’s partnership with BNSF and the design team created an environment where value engineered innovations were easily incorporated into the scope to reduce the overall schedule and overall total cost of ownership through consolidated scope items from multiple phases to reduce redundancy and overall cost.
